Our Community Helpers unit is officially underway! Over the next 3 weeks we will be learning about the people in our community and why they are important. We will begin this unit with a study on goods and services and how/why we use money to purchase these things. On September 13th we will try our hand at exchanging our human resources for wages by selling lemonade to our peers here at Brighten. This will count as one of Kindergarten's community projects as well. We will wrap up our unit on September 20th with an in house field trip in which we will have the opportunity to meet and question some of the important people in our community.
Please read below and discuss with your child. Respond with what you know or learned.
GOODS: A GOOD IS SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN USE, AND HOLD IN YOUR HAND.
EXAMPLE- BUY CLOTHES
SERVICES: A SERVICE IS SOMETHING THAT SOMEONE DOES FOR YOU.
EXAMPLE-GETTING A HAIRCUT
Critical Thinking-
What do people earn in return for their goods or services?
